Loganair is to take over the London City Airport (LCY) to Douglas Isle of Man route from Tuesday 1 September but with a slight fly in the ointment.

Seen here at the recent Dundee inaugural, Loganair is now the second largest operator into LCY in terms of routes, with services to Glasgow, and as noted, now Belfast City.
Passengers already organised on the route with the CityFlyer division of British Airways cannot just transfer their reservation. They will have to rebook and claim a refund under the cancellation rules from BA.
When LCY closed from 25 March to 21 June Loganair provided a BA (Loganair operated) service to Heathrow, which proved popular. It then transferred the route, supported by the Manx Government, to the City airport using a 49-seat ATR turboprop with a two-class layout. Loganair is Economy only on all its flights.
Loganair Chief Commercial Officer Kay Ryan said: “We understand the importance of this route, and we are pleased to assist the Isle of Man and London by stepping in to ensure this vital link continues uninterrupted. Whilst flights are not yet available to book past October 31, we do hope to be able to extend our travel window in the not too distant future."
Blue Islands has confirmed that when its summer season kicks off at the end of March 2021 the London City – Jersey route, stopped due to Covick-19 will not be resurrected. (
