Time to stop the strikes

International Airlines Group  (IAG) has responded to Ryanair and Norwegian’s long-haul ambitions with a new airline of its own. Will this “Level” the field? Another question: Will we ever see action to stop ATC strikes in Europe penalising millions of passengers? BTN has a  COMMENT.  Elsewhere,  Cathay Pacific  suffers its first loss for years,  Citywing  has closed but its routes are saved.  Alitalia  faces a major cost-cutting programme and  Brandenburg Airport  is delayed yet again. On the good news front,  Edinburgh  is about to break new ground,  Etihad  is ever-expanding and  Lufthansa  is making money.  ON TOUR  this week is in Bangkok, while  AND FINALLY  offers an insight into how the other half lives.
