Willie Walsh and 9/11.
Last week readers experienced lineouts on the BTN email. It did not affect the reading but was an inconvenience. We think it was due to a typo in WORD. Hopefully you can read this clearly.
Do pass on BTN perhaps pointing out stories that friends and colleagues might find of interest. Sign up TWITTER too, with daily updates.
COMMENT this week is Willie Walsh on 9/11.
Air industry in crisis plea. This week’s issue coincides with Airlines UK and AOA reaching out to Government for real support in propelling the UK back to number one position as the air travel provider for Europe. See the table. The European air travel figures for August back up the daily comparison.
Part of the problem may be the cost/need for PCR. Will the government act on the report? Travel test rip-off.
EasyJet v Wizz Air. We have the facts.
This is the monthly motoring issue and BTN has a number of automotive stories leading with our monthly road test, the Kia Picanto, to the other end of the spectrum ON TOUR and Salon Privé. MOTORING EXTRA has been added in with some ideas for UK road trips. If you are not electric do read Petrol – an update . LETTER OF THE WEEK says that BEA might be resurrected.
AND FINALLY is motoring too.
1. British Airways Gatwick
2. Face mask problems
3. Aer Lingus – a British airline
