It seems that not only is the German capital having problems completing its new airport (see BTN 4 November) but the good citizens can’t even agree on a name.
BTN called it Berlin International in the aforementioned piece.
Berlin Brandenburg International seems to be an official name.
As does Berlin Brandenburg (ie shortened without the international).
Willy Brandt Airport is another tag.
And finally (and we mean this most sincerely) Berlin Brandenburg Willy Brandt.
The former and most respected Chancellor must be turning in his grave.
PS: We are still going to call it Schoenefeld!
