Jakarta Best Western

Best Western International (BWI) has continued its rapid expansion in Indonesia with the launch of a new hotel in Jakarta – Best Western Hariston.

The timing is ideal with Garuda opening up a service to London next May. (See BTN 4 November)

Located in North Jakarta, the newly-built midscale property brings more than 200 contemporary rooms and suites to this fast-growing area of the city, close to the port and just 20 minutes’ drive from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

All rooms feature modern amenities including 37-inch flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, in-room movies, mini-bars and complimentary wi-fi.  The hotel also offers an array of guest facilities, including a restaurant, bar, 24-hour room service, an outdoor swimming pool and sauna room.  There are 11 meeting rooms.

The new hotel is Best Western’s third in Jakarta, following the 168-room Best Western Mangga Dua Hotel & Residence and 67-room Best Western Mega Kuningan, which welcomed its first guests last month.

This brings the company’s nationwide portfolio to 10 hotels in five destinations – Bali, Jakarta, Malang, Semarang and Serpong.  BWI plans to expand its Indonesian collection to more than 30 properties in the coming years. www.bestwestern.com
