Motel One adds at Edinburgh

German budget hotel chain Motel One says that its second hotel in Edinburgh should be open by December.  The four-storey purpose-built 140-bedroom property is in Princes Street directly opposite the famous Rocco Forte Balmoral and Waverley Station.

Its first property, in Market Street, is very close by and has been open since the beginning of the year (see BTN 14 January).  It is a quality product with room prices starting from £69.  Jamie Graham, Sales Manager, says that occupancy has been very high, easily meeting expectations.  A cold buffet breakfast is available at £7.70.

Princes Street will replicate services including free wi-fi access in the communal One Lounge which is the hub of the hotel as a lobby, bar and cafeteria rolled into one!  iPADs are also provided upon the guests’ request.

Philipp Westermann, Motel One's Co-CEO, said: "Princes Street is such an attractive location for Motel One and we are very pleased about the deal for our second hotel in Edinburgh.  We look forward to further projects in the UK market".  www.motel-one.com
