Oxford Airport new routes

Having in recent weeks lost its Isle of Man and Jersey routes (see Manx 2 above) Oxford Airport has now confirmed two new scheduled services for 2013.  Minoan Air, new to the UK, and established in Greece in 2011, is to operate direct to Edinburgh and Dublin from March.

Both routes are twice daily in a bid to capture the quick there and back market, with Edinburgh scheduled for  Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 4 March, and Dublin from 6 March, Wednesday and Friday with a single service on Sundays.

Frequency on both routes will increase from 10 May to twice daily (Monday to Friday) and once on Sundays.  The routes will be flown by Minoan Air’s Fokker 50 aircraft, featuring a full in-flight service to Business Class standards for all passengers.

Oxford Airport offers passengers short check-in times, passenger drop off just 20ft from the check-in desks, security just 15ft further and the departure lounge just a few steps from the security point.  Aircraft are parked just 75ft away from the departure lounge and the overall passenger experience is as straightforward and stress-free as possible. www.minoanair.com
