Another change at Virgin

Following the recently decision of Steve Ridgway to step down as CEO of Virgin Atlantic Airways (BTN 10 September), Greg Dawson, Public Relations Director, is leaving to join Samsung Electronics as European Communications Director.  Dawson will report to Stephen Taylor, Samsung’s Vice President of Brand for Europe.  His new role, covering 16 European markets, includes external relations, internal communications and public affairs.

Dawson joined Virgin from Travelodge in June 2010 his tenure including the introduction of the Airbus A330 and Virgin’s latest cabin upgrade .  The Virgin post was previously held firstly by Paul Moore (now with easyJet) and Paul Charles (PCC Communications), both excellent communicators and at ease with the media. www.virgin-atlantic.com
