With the imminent introduction of allocated seating on every flight (BTNews 10 September) easyJet has stepped up its campaign to lure Britain’s Parliamentarians onto its services and away from established carriers.
A year-long preferred partnership deal between the airline and Hillgate Travel, the travel management company for the Houses of Parliament, has come into effect. The deal will deliver low cost, flexible fares to MPs as well as providing support for MPs’ constituency and Commons Select Committees’ travel arrangements and will be open for all MPs, Peers and Houses of Parliament staff.
Carolyn McCall, Chief Executive of easyJet, commented:
“We believe this new deal will not only help give MPs and Peers easy and affordable travel but will also safeguard the taxpayers’ purse.
“We know that many MPs, Peers and Government Ministers already fly with easyJet. This deal will make it easier and more cost effective than ever before. This deal is a good example of easyJet’s strategy of increasing the number of business travellers flying with the airline”. www.easyjet.com
