Luton Airport update

Junction 10A on the M1 has finally been completed with a dual carriageway now available from the motorway to the Holiday Inn Express final roundabout just prior to the terminal.

Drivers approaching from the south should note that J10 should be treated with extreme caution especially at the point on the motorway bridge where the traffic becomes a single lane for a short while.

Work has now started as part of the airport’s £100m redevelopment project, a major redesign of the terminal taking place planned to create a quick, efficient and convenient passenger experience.

A temporary arrivals hall has been opened situated opposite the departures entrance of the main terminal building that is to your left as you approach.  This is likely to remain in use for about 14 months and may be familiar to some as the old terminal building, redundant but never demolished when the present structure was opened by The Queen in 1999.

Luton Airport points out that with all the improvement works taking place over the next three years it is working hard to ensure that any disruption to passengers is kept to an absolute minimum.    www.london-luton.co.uk
