Runways UK 2015

Bookings are now open for Runways UK 2015, which takes place at The Grange Tower Bridge Hotel 6-7 July.  The 2014 event was a great success.  (See BTN 6 June 2014)

This event should provide a timely opportunity for key stakeholder groups to discuss and debate the Airports Commission's final report due to be published following the General Election but the selection of the date is something of a gamble by the organisers, Sir Howard Davies normally friendly towards airport industry events.  The Commission seemingly published its interim report to coincide with the AOA annual conference last November (See BTN 17 November 2014).

Delegates will have the opportunity to learn more about the planning process post-decision, about utilisation of existing resources in the interim, and about innovative technological advances, both on the ground and in the air, which will help to alleviate capacity concerns in the future.

Based on the 2014 event it is expected that the Department for Transport will be represented at Ministerial level.   www.runwaysuk.com/ruk/programme
