A very superior 3-star hotel in a 5-star position. That is how Business Travel News would describe the brand new every Hotel Piccadilly. Previously a Thistle the hotel has been gutted and brought up to the same very high standard as the Grosvenor Victoria, also owned by GLH. Whilst officially in Coventry Street, which connects Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus the entrance is actually a very short way down Whitcomb Street. The reception is straight ahead of you.
The property has seven floors and a basement with both a restaurant serving simple food attractively priced (burgers and pizzas – why try and compete with what is around you) and a small well-equipped gym. All day room service is offered and the bar is very comprehensive. A proper hot breakfast is priced at £12 if your package does not include the first meal of the day.
All the rooms come complete with coffee machines, hair dryer, a free soft-drink minibar and large walk-in shower suite. The larger ones have a lounge area too. There is a free photo copy machine in the lobby.
When you book direct with the hotel you will be invited to choose your room before you arrive. Check out the 360° virtual tour and photographs of the actual bedroom! BTN predicts this will catch on. Prices start from just £149. www.every-hotels.com
