Delta at JFK

Now open at New York’s Kennedy Airport is the Concourse B extension in Terminal 4 (T4), the JFK home of Delta Air Lines.

The US$175m project is part of Delta’s continuing US$1.2bn expansion plan and adds 11 gates and 75,000ft² to the concourse.

The new gates feature enclosed jet bridges and are located in close proximity to a flagship Sky Club lounge and chef-driven restaurants. 

The carrier has also added a third stop to its Jitney shuttle service, which carries connecting passengers between its two terminals to the new terminus on the B side.  This is to help alleviate the walking for connecting travellers (65% of Delta’s JFK passengers) between opposite ends of Terminal 4B.

The extension will consolidate 80% of Delta’s operations to Concourse B thereby improving passenger transit times for connecting flights.   www.delta.com
