Travel Coffee Break

Hosted by radio journalist Alastair McKenzie, the weekly Travel Coffee Break is a chance for travel writers, travel PRs, destination marketing and travel industry folk to gather and chat about what is happening in travel and tourism.

It is a Google Hangout on Air – a video chat room for up to 10 participants, livestreamed in public and then auto-saved as a Youtube video.

Unless he is travelling or needs to move it, it goes 'live' every Wednesday at 17:00 UK time, which is (usually) noon on the East coast of North America, 09:00 on the West coast, 18:00 in Western Europe and late evening in Africa and the Middle East.

Alastair has been running Travel Coffee Break Hangouts on Air (HOAs) for over two years now.  It is a great way to talk informally and organically about travel and tourism ‘products’ and experiences.

The audience can type in questions before the programme starts or ask ‘live’ during the show itself.

Usually the topics are pre-planned, but it does not always work out that way as travel is fast moving in terms of news.  Last week it featured the A350 and airline arrivals at Heathrow, plus the English Civil War.  Who knows what will happen by Wednesday?    www.travelcoffeebreak.com
