British Airways, for the first time, will operate flights to the Greek islands from London City Airport during the summer peak season 2015. All the services will be flown by 98-seat Embraer 190 aircraft in a 2+2 configuration with an 18” seat width and 31” pitch.
Starting 29 June the aircraft will operate to Mykonos (JMK) on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, whilst the nearby island of Thira (JTR - see also ON TOUR) gains the flights on Tuesday and Saturday. Both are in the Aegean Sea and about halfway between Turkey and the Greek mainland.
Following the arrival of two more aircraft the BA City Flyer Embraer fleet will total 18 aircraft this summer. With the new routes Cityflyer now targets 27 destinations some of which are seasonal. In addition Eastern Airways also operates two Saab 2000 for the BA subsidiary on a wet-lease arrangement. www.ba.com
