The Christmas holiday time would seem a fine opportunity for an airline to announce its summer plans for 2015, for both business and leisure travellers.
Now on sale is Flybe’s schedule from 29 March featuring 144 routes, including 16 that are brand new, offering a total choice of up to 3,011 flights a week. The airline will also introduce Bournemouth, re-open its Aberdeen base and start flying regional services from Stansted. It will also be the first summer for the airline’s seven routes from London City.
Having been awarded a Government subsidised operation to keep Cornwall connected to London, Newquay – Gatwick will be multi-frequency in 2015. Loganair and Stobart Air continue as franchise partners with services mainly in Scotland, and to Ireland respectively.
Paul Simmons, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer, says: “It’s going to be a busy summer! Over the last 12 months we have continued to grow and develop the airline to provide the most cost-effective, efficient and flexible service for our passengers. Our 2015 summer schedule boosts further the large selection of flights to great city and sun destinations." www.flybe.com
