Stobart Air is to operate CityJet’s Cardiff-based routes from today (1 December). Unlike its road transport sister company Stobart Air is very low profile as far as its public awareness is concerned, also flying routes for Aer Lingus Regional and Flybe. Stobart Air will offer Cardiff – Edinburgh, twice daily, and daily Cardiff – Paris.
Commenting on the partnership, CityJet CEO, Christine Ourmières, said: “I am delighted to announce this partnership between two Irish companies. CityJet shares many key values with Stobart Air, including providing customers with an exceptional travel experience, and we are looking forward to developing our offering with them into the future.”
“This partnership allows us to continue to work with our partners at Cardiff Airport to provide a quality service to passengers on key routes, connecting Wales with major European cities – Paris and Edinburgh.”
Commenting on the new partnership, Sean Brogan, Chairman, Stobart Air, said: “Adding CityJet to our partner portfolio is a further positive development for Stobart Air. Our investment in new aircraft and the professionalism of our operations are resonating with passengers and partners alike.
“The routes we will operate for CityJet are strong, connecting the two capital cities of France and Scotland with the capital city of Wales,” Mr Brogan said. www.cityjet.com
