T2 welcomes Aer Lingus

Aer Lingus has now smoothly arrived at Heathrow T2, The Queens Terminal.  It is by far the largest operator in the new complex with up 24 flights a day to Belfast City, Cork, Dublin, and Shannon airports.

The airlines connects, or will connect shortly, with Star Alliance interline partners, Air Canada, Air China, Air New Zealand, Scandinavian Airlines, Singapore Airlines, South African, Thai Airlines, Turkish Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways.  It also has an interline arrangement with Virgin Atlantic, for whom it operates ‘Little Red’ which is due to join from T1 on 10 September (full change details can be found on www.heathrowairport.com/flight-information/airline-moves

The benefits from the move are outstanding and include quicker transfer times, vastly less walking distances, much faster access to and from public transport, and the introduction of a brand new state-of-the-art Gold Circle lounge 50% larger than the offering in T1.  A special feature of the new lounge is the 5 metre high external glass wall.  Also included are shower facilities, meeting rooms and a quiet area, making for a calm environment in which to work or just relax. www.aerlingus.com
