With the new T2 grabbing the headlines, Heathrow’s largest terminal, T5 is likely to be the focus of the airport shopping fraternity when Louis Vuitton inaugurates its first European airport store in December.
Inextricably linked to the history of modern travel, the Vuitton family has over generations been keen followers of technological advances in the world of aviation.
By 1910, the year when Pierre Vuitton, the great grandson of founder Louis, created airplane models himself (named Vuitton II and Vuitton III); the House's catalogue of trunks and leather goods listed the ultralight, unsinkable and watertight "Aero-trunks" for hot air balloons.
The first Louis Vuitton store at Heathrow Terminal 5 is dedicated to Louis Vuitton's passion for travel. This store of more than 200m² will offer leather goods, women's ready to wear and shoes, fashion jewellery, sunglasses, accessories and watches. http://uk.louisvuitton.com
