Belfast and Glasgow routes have been added to the Virgin Atlantic network for holiday flights for this time next year.
This is the first time Virgin Atlantic has launched a service from Belfast International Airport or operated out of Northern Ireland. A popular seasonal flight exists from Glasgow to Orlando but Las Vegas from Scotland is entirely new for Sir Richard Branson’s airline.
Both of these routes form part of Virgin Atlantic’s Joint Venture with Delta Air Lines, with the US carrier offering the service for sale under the codeshare agreement. Customers will be able to use Delta’s flights seamlessly for onward connections.
A Boeing 747-400 aircraft will operate these seasonal services on a weekly basis, flying on Thursdays. The aircraft to both US destinations will be configured with 14 Upper Class seats, 66 Premium Economy seats and 375 seats in Economy.
The Belfast to Orlando route will operate in June and July, commencing 25 June 2015 whilst Glasgow – Las Vegas is set for the autumn starting 10 September.
Virgin Atlantic flies daily between Gatwick and Las Vegas and twice a week between Manchester and Las Vegas. www.virgin-atlantic.com
