Expedia opens The Business Travel Show

The 20th Business Travel Show takes place next week (4-5 February) for the last time at Earls Court 2.  Exhibitors are up on last year and a record attendance is expected.  In 2015 it moves to Olympia.

Whilst for some just walking around the hall and meeting old friends is the prime reason for the visit, for many the conference programme is what it is all about.  More than 70+ thought-provoking sessions shaped by corporate travel experts with decades of experience are planned.

Key opening speaker is Dara Khosrowshahi, the award-winning technology entrepreneur and CEO of Expedia, Inc, the world’s largest online travel company, which operates more than 150 travel booking sites in more than 70 countries worldwide.  He will look at what the future holds for the industry.

The programme is big and varied.  On the Tuesday afternoon Mark Douglas of HRS will share a view of the hotel of the future and its impact on business travel.  He is followed by Gatwick Airport putting forward its case for expansion.  Amongst 30 presentations on the Wednesday, Mark Schwab, CEO of Star Alliance, will talk about the importance of alliances, how they are an integral part of the aviation industry landscape and the role they play in serving today’s global traveller.www.businesstravelshow.com/en/conference/2014-conference.aspx
