Stansted adds dining

Two new eating outlets have opened landside as part of the major revamping of Stansted Airport’s terminal facilities.

Café Balzar is a French artisan style bar and café, whilst also in the public area is Joe's Coffeehouse, open 24 hours.

Both Balzar and Joe's Coffeehouse, concessions of travel catering experts TRG, benefit from the free wi-fi available for one hour throughout the terminal.  Joe's Coffeehouse also offers a grab and go option – ideal for anyone on the move.  Takeaway food is VAT free.

Michelle Madeley, Head of Retail for M.A.G and responsible for food and beverage development at Stansted Airport, said: “During 2014 passengers will see many changes and more choice in food and beverage options at Stansted Airport and we are very excited that TRG’s new units have opened for business.”

“Phase one of the £80m terminal development project to relocate security search and extend the departure lounge by over 60% is nearing completion.  Phase two concentrates on services in the departure lounge, including a dedicated food and beverage area to suit all budgets and tastes, and we’ve had submissions from a number of leading operators and exciting new concepts and brands.”  www.stanstedairport.com
