Update for Leeds Bradford

Leeds Bradford Airport tells BTN that it is preparing for another busy year, with seven route launches so far announced for 2014.

Commencing next Monday 20 January, Eastern Airways introduces services between Leeds Bradford and Southampton, expanding on their current operations to Aberdeen.  The airline will operate to Southampton three times daily Monday to Friday, as well as a Sunday afternoon service; providing flexibility for both business and leisure travellers. (See BTN 16 December 2013)

SAS, a new airline for Leeds Bradford, starts a twice weekly service from 31 March to Copenhagen, offering a direct link to Denmark’s capital and onward connectivity across Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. (See BTN 25 November 2013)

Jet2.com, Leeds Bradford’s largest based airline will introduce five new destinations this summer. From 3 April, Yorkshire travellers can fly directly into Budapest, the Hungarian capital, with a twice-weekly service.  As of 4 April, passengers can fly to Fuerteventura (Canary Islands), with Jet2.com, their operations to Kos in Greece will commence 6 May.

On 14 May Leeds Bradford will welcome a new destination, Verona (Italy), operated by Jet2.com.  The airline will also introduce services to Reus on 17 June. www.jet2.com www.leedsbradfordairport.co.uk
