THE BTN CHRISTMAS QUIZ

From the Aeroplane library

The 2013 Christmas Quiz seems to have gone down very well with just over 700 attempts to try and identify the various aircraft.  Here are the answers.

First prize went to Mike Pitman who got everthing right and wins a pair of tickets for an Apollo Victoria Theatre performance of 'Wicked', the spectacular West End musical that subverts the well-worn story of Oz and to explain how the Good and Wicked Witches earned their reputations long before Dorothy arrived on the scene.

Also, to celebrate the launch of Travelodge’s new contemporary room design, which includes a new state-of-the-art, luxurious bed called the Travelodge Dreamer, the hotel chain has offered our winner a night's accommodation at a London Travelodge.  The winner will stay in an en-suite family-size room (suitable for two adults plus two children, or for three adults) with a comfortable king size bed, flat screen TV, tea and coffee facilities and wi-fi – everything you need for a good night’s sleep.  www.travelodge.co.uk

There are three runners up – Ken Brookes, a journalist; Luigi Vallero of Meridiana, and Ian Oswald of B/E Aerospace. Each will receive a copy of the Aeroplane Special bookazine: 'Aviation Archive: Aeroplanes of World War One', published by Kelsey Media. www.kelsey.co.uk
