Heathrow T5 roadworks

Overnight work to improve safety on the spur road from the M25 to Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 in West London will begin today (Monday 11 November).  The work will take place for five nights from 22:00 to 05:30.  Passenger traffic at this time is minimal.

Janice Burgess, Highways Agency Asset Manager, said:  “This work will improve safety and benefit drivers.  We will be installing a new sign on the approach to the roundabout at the eastern end of the Heathrow Terminal 5 spur road as well as changing the road markings to better inform drivers so that they can more easily choose the right lane for their destination.

“The spur road will be closed eastbound between the M25 and the Terminal 5 roundabout so that the work can take place.  To minimise disruption for drivers we will be carrying out the work overnight, when least vehicles use the road, and a clearly signed diversion route will be in place”.

Road users on the M25 wishing to access Heathrow Terminal 5 roundabout will be diverted at junction 14 to the A3113 Airport Way, Southern Perimeter Road and Western Perimeter Road to the Terminal 5 roundabout. www.highways.gov.uk
