Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam

Amsterdam is to have a Waldorf Astoria with an opening date in Spring 2014.

The fifth Waldorf Astoria property in Europe and the first in the Netherlands, Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam is sited on the famous Herengracht canal, built during the Golden Age.  Steeped in history, the property boasts a historical exterior comprising six original patrician houses of the 17th and 18th century, and a unique entrance and grand staircase attributed to the architect of king-stadholder William III, Daniel Marot.

The elegant 93 room property will offer a variety of luxurious, spacious guest rooms and suites overlooking the city’s canal or the tranquil courtyard garden, the largest in the city. The grand history of the buildings will be evident in every bedroom. Immersed in character they feature exposed beams and large windows flooding bedrooms with natural light. All rooms feature modern amenities including wi-fi.

The property will also offer a boutique spa, with a wide range of pampering spa treatments from a prestigious luxury spa specialist brand, as well as a indoor swimming pool, contemporary indoor fitness centre and relaxation area overlooking the gardens.

As a conference facility the property has a choice of seven flexible meeting rooms as well as the Grand Ballroom.  http://waldorfastoria3.hilton.com
