easyJet – Bristol, Newquay and Southend

EasyJet has announced its short summer 2014 schedule of flights between Newquay and Southend, with plans to increase flight frequency from three flights a week to four, but has ruled out adding a year-round Gatwick operation.  This means that England’s South West will be totally reliant on surface connections from next April although BTN understands that very convincing plans for new air services are being considered by serious backers which could also prove a lifeline for the closed Plymouth Airport.

From Bristol easyJet will launch Reykjavik and Marrakech in December with twice weekly services.  easyJet is the largest airline operating from Bristol Airport with up to 11 aircraft permanently based at the airport and 46 destinations served.

At Southend easyJet now has four aircraft based.  Essex and East London dwellers are making more and more use of the very easy train access from Liverpool Street and Stratford.  New for the winter is a twice weekly (Monday and Friday) service to Tenerife, bound to be popular during the dark winter months.  Next summer the airline will serve 13 destinations including the popular sun seeker havens of Malaga, Faro and Palma as well as city breaks to Barcelona plus Berlin and Krakow, new this year. www.easyjet.com
