AND FINALLY: A tale of two halves

Keen followers of AND FINALLY may recall that we were unable to find a really suitable story concerning the popular mode of transport in Saigon.  (see BTN 15 July 2013) 

Now we have made it.

A tale of two halves. (and thanks to a certain Paddy!)

He tells us of a friend, a trainee mechanic, who had a scooter ready on the morning of his 16th birthday.

He had purchased his licence and drove off to work.

He had bought two crashed (one to the front and one to the rear) Lambretta sisters and joined the undamaged ends including of course the cables.

A friendly policeman stopped him.

“Tommy you have a problem”, he said.  “I would strongly suggest you change one of the number plates”.

‘Tis a true story!
