Malang, East Java hotel

Best Western International (BWI) is continuing its rapid expansion across Indonesia with the signing of a new hotel in Malang, East Java, the first international hotel in a town of nearly one million inhabitants.

Set to welcome its first guests in the last quarter of 2013, the Best Western OJ Hotel is ideally situated in the centre of Malang, located close to the town’s Tugu Monument and Town Hall, and just two minutes from the railway station.  The local airport, called Abdul Rachman Saleh, with services to Jakarta, is about 8 miles away.

The hotel features an indoor swimming pool.  There is also a rooftop café, which is now the highest point in Malang and provides stunning views across the city and mountains beyond.  Wi-fi and business centre are provided.

“With its fast-expanding economy, rising middle class and thriving domestic travel sector, BWI sees the huge potential Indonesia has to offer”, said the company’s Vice President of International Operations for Asia & the Middle East, Glenn de Souza.

BWI currently operates five hotels in Indonesia, but is planning to expand rapidly in the coming years, with more than 20 new openings by 2015. www.bestwestern.co.uk
