Wizz Air is to add three new routes to its current portfolio at Luton Airport. From this autumn, passengers will have direct access to Košice (Slovakia), Donetsk (Ukraine) and Craiova (Romania).
Košice is Slovakia’s second largest city and is the 2013 European Capital of Culture, attracting history lovers and visitors from all over the world. It boasts the oldest recorded coat of arms in Europe and is home to St Elizabeth’s Cathedral, the largest church in Slovakia.
Welsh businessman, John Hughes, founded Donetsk in 1869. It is known as the “City of a Million Roses” and is home to the famous FC Donetsk Shaktar football team. Donetsk boasts many parks and open public spaces, museums and a planetarium.
University town Craiova is Romania’s sixth largest city, with a number of museums and art galleries as well as beautiful religious buildings, some of which date back to medieval times. www.wizzair.com
