Avis convertibles

The UK’s love affair with drophead cars continues with deliveries starting for the Jaguar F type ((see ON TOUR) and most manufacturers offering 2/4 seat convertible versions of one of their mundane family car products.

As a way of satisfying this demand, either as a one off test to see how you like it, or just as a summer extravagance, Avis has added the Peugeot 308 cc to its 'Select' range of up market cars.  The F type is available too but only as a 'Prestige' product, which speaks for itself.

Avis has gone for the larger of Peugeot’s opening roof cars.  The 308cc can comfortably fit four passengers.  If you want a smart coupe the Peugeot RCZ is on hand, ideal for two people and a very smart looker.  On the Continent what it calls its 'Fun' range is available in most countries including the Mini Cooper Cabriolet.

The 'Select' range is at the following locations, but not all models are offered at every depot.  Included are these airports: Edinburgh, Glasgow, Gatwick, Heathrow, London City, Manchester and Stansted.  In major cities the list includes: Edinburgh, Glasgow, London (Euston, Marriot Marble Arch, Victoria, Waterloo, Westfield) and Manchester Piccadilly. www.avis.co.uk
