Aegean Airlines, a Star Alliance member, will begin flights to Athens from Stansted Airport next Thursday (11 July).
The route will operate three times per week and will connect easily with a through flight to the islands of Corfu, Kos and Rhodes. It will be the very first airline to offer a Business Class service to these Greek islands from the UK.
The flights will be operated using a brand new Airbus A320 168-seat aircraft, in dual class configuration providing a full service offering to all passengers, which includes complimentary food and drink, as well as one checked piece of baggage (23kgs).
Business Class passengers and Gold card members will have use of the Fast Track and Executive lounge at Stansted Airport and an extra checked piece of baggage.
This additional route is a seasonal one and has been introduced because of the increased demand for flights to Athens from London. Aegean already has three daily flights from Heathrow T1. The route will operate for two months until 16 September. www.aegeanair.com
