Dundee Doubletree

The former Landmark Hotel in Dundee is now a Doubletree.  It is the upscale brand’s third Scottish property and its 21st across the UK.

The hotel is set within the grounds of a converted private family residence whose original classical period design and intricate Latin inscriptions remain largely untouched.  The listed building dates back to 1870, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the elegance of Victorian high society.  Guests are free to explore the surrounding six acres of landscaped and maintained gardens complete with an ornate Italian style maze and fountain.

Located just off the A90, the main road into the city of Dundee, and only two miles from Dundee Airport, the hotel provides an easily accessible location whilst maintaining a unique sense of heritage and nature.  The surrounding region offers rich pickings for golfers with local courses including Downcraig, Scotsfield and Alyth.  The legendary St Andrews Old Course is a short drive across the Tay Bridge.

Each of the 92 guestrooms have received a thorough upgrade.  The hotel features a new fully equipped health club complete with indoor swimming pool and offers free internet.

Fine dining is available on site through the AA rosette winning Maze Restaurant housed in an eye catching glass house. http://doubletree3.hilton.com
