AND FINALLY: Paris and the paparazzi
Our final comment on the Paris Air Show must highlight Qatar Airways' chief, Akbar al Baker, a keen follower of the British scene.
He must have been watching BBC TV which highlighted a British minister walking into 10 Downing Street with visible Cabinet papers in his hand. These were snapped by the paparazzi and subsequently published.
“We don’t want any telephoto lenses here”, chuckled Mr Al Baker, as he signed an multi-million contract for some new Boeings. “My competitors might find out what I am actually paying for the aircraft!”
