Bag limitations intro by easyJet

easyJet is introducing a 'cabin bag guarantee', from next Monday (2 July) which will reduce the size of hand luggage some customers may be allowed to keep with them on the flight.

In an effort to reduce the number of bags going into the overhead bins, which is a problem, the airline may request that if a customer brings hand luggage bigger than 50x40x20cm, it might be placed in the hold.  The maximum IATA size is 56x45x25cm.  The policy does not affect Speedy Boarding, easyJet Plus cardholders, Flexi fare, easyJet Plus Upfront or easyJet Plus Extra Legroom.  These customers will still be able to bring the maximum size bag and for the most part have empty overhead lockers to store their hand baggage.

The new guideline will really work in the customers’ favour as there is no charge for this service.  Even if your bag goes into the hold under this rule such is the speed of modern airports it should arrive at the baggage hall within a few minutes of the traveller. www.easyjet.com
