Vueling, now part of IAG, has joined forces with Hoteles Catalonia to create what it calls “a new accommodation concept” with Vueling BCN by HC, in Barcelona .
It is an aircraft enthusiast’s dream. Each room is named after one of the destinations Vueling serves and the breakfast area and bar has been designed to look like a cabin of an aircraft with cabin windows showing blue sky and clouds. The back wall is an A320 flightdeck.
Vueling colours are throughout – yellow, grey and white. Chic and functional with good facilities and fast, free wi-fi.
The property is located in Gran Vía, close by La Rambla, with 64 rooms some with balconies. The roof top offers a private terrace and open air swimming pool.
Hoteles Catalonia, is a family-owned hotel chain established in the early 1980s by the Vallet brothers. The company was initially involved in the real estate business and later expanded its operations to quickly become one of the main hotel chains in Spain.
Today, Hoteles Catalonia has 63 establishments located mainly in Spain, with one in Brussels and seven in the Caribbean. www.hoteles-catalonia.com
