Lufthansa de-luxe

First and Business Class passengers on Lufthansa long and medium haul flights are to benefit from service upgrades that are now being introduced.

On services from Germany, Lufthansa is offering a new programme, “Culinary Delights” in First Class, a development of its popular Star Chefs concept.

Central to the service are the culinary expertise and products of quality chef’s – who has at least two Michelin stars or comparable distinction.  Menus will change on a bi-monthly roster.  As appetisers, flights attendants will be serving a variety of canapés instead of a single appetiser.  Caviar service can be served as a separate course.

Additionally the in-flight menus will come on top-class tableware in a new design and concept with individual salt and pepper pots for each passenger, an extra small bowl with olive oil and elegant glass carafes for fresh water.

The culinary concept in Lufthansa Business Class has also been upgraded with more freshness and variety in the dishes served in the cabin, pastries and beverages.  The offerings cater for every taste: New varieties of tea, fresh milk for tea and coffee, plus a wider choice of juices as well as ’Weissbier’ (wheat beer) and ’Altbier’ (dark beer).  There is new china and cutlery too. www.lufthansa.com
