Bristol Double Tree + Exeter

Hilton is quickly pushing ahead with its Double Tree upscale project (see Double Dutch for Hilton in this issue).  Now just open is the DoubleTree by Hilton Bristol City Centre.  Formerly a Ramada it is situated on Redcliffe Way and is less than a quarter mile from Temple Meads Station.

The public areas and each of the hotel’s 201 guestrooms have been extensively refurbished, bringing them up to DoubleTree by Hilton’s standards with a new design concept that pays tribute to the city’s proud industrial and seafaring heritage.  Relics from Bristol’s heyday as a maritime trading centre adorn the hotel, whilst the legacy of Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the engineer behind the Great Western Railway, is also keenly felt.

Also recently opened is the Hampton by Hilton Exeter Airport, the Hilton budget brand, located less than a mile from the airport and close to junction 29 of the M5 motorway.

DoubleTree by Hilton is one of Europe’s fastest growing hotel brands, with 41 hotels now in operation across the continent including 19 in the UK. www.doubletree.com
