Travellers to Nepal on Nepal Airlines can now book tickets at all IATA travel agents in the UK prior to travelling to the Himalayan country.
Formerly known as Royal Nepal Airlines, Nepal Airlines is the flag carrier airline of Nepal, based in Kathmandu. Established in 1958, the airline currently operates a fleet of two Boeing 757s and five DHC Twin Otters and serves 39 destinations including Bangkok, Doha, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur as well as domestic points. Nepal became a Republic in 2008 after an election and is now officially known as the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.
This progress in travel to what has been a difficult country to access has been brought about by Nepal Airlines joining the IATA BSP (Bank Settlement Plan) via its UK General Sales Agency (GSA) APG, itself a network of GSA companies spanning 178 countries and headquartered in Paris. www.nepalairlines.com.np www.apg-ga.com
