AND FINALLY: Airline closes down for two hours

It was inevitably bound to happen someday with the reliance in the 21st century on technology but American Airlines suffered a two-hour complete passenger boarding and reservations system shutdown last week.  Some 650 flights were affected.

In a statement the airline said it was suffering from  “intermittent outages” which was first read by BTN as “experiencing intermittent outrages” and that assumed to be both staff dealing with the problem and clients trying to check-in.

All is now well.
