Nuremberg will shortly become Pegasus Airlines' sixth destination in Germany, alongside Berlin, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Munich and Stuttgart. The new flights' launch on 17 June 2013, will depart Istanbul on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, returning from Nuremberg on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
Pegasus points out that Istanbul is becoming more and more of a hub with 20 destinations within Turkey available and seven regional destinations (Belgrade, Bologna, Bucharest, North Cyprus, Pristina, Sarajevo, Skopje). In total Nuremberg brings Pegasus' network to 70 destinations in 28 countries.
The airline dates from 1989 and is the second largest carrier in Turkey. Whilst currently a Boeing 737-800 operator, it has signed up for the Airbus A320neo with the first of up to 100 due in 2015.
From the UK Pegasus flies from Gatwick and Stansted to Sabiha Gökçen International Airport on the Asian side of Instanbul. www.flypgs.com
