Delta increase at Heathrow

Delta Air Lines last Monday (31 March) launched a third daily service between Heathrow and Atlanta for a total of nine daily non-stop flights to five US cities, all with fully-flat bed seats:  New York-JFK, Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis-St Paul and Boston.  Wi-fi is now on all transatlantic services.

Towards the end of May it will open the new US$1.4bn Terminal 4 at New York’s JFK Airport significantly improving the customer experience at North America’s busiest international airport.

The world’s largest airline, and a member of Skyteam, at London it is based at Heathrow T4.  Assuming the Virgin shareholding goes ahead the two airlines expect to jointly offer 21 daily flights from Heathrow to the US by the end of 2013.  www.delta.com
