Barcelona to London

With the introduction last week of a three times daily British Airways service from Gatwick to Barcelona, and Vueling’s twice daily services due from the start of the summer season, the capital of Catalonia is probably the best connected continental city to London with 26 flights daily at the start of the summer season.

BA already offers 47 weekly flights to the Mediterranean city from Heathrow as well as further thrice-weekly services from London City (operated by BA CityFlyer).   Direct competition on the Gatwick route comes from easyJet’s six daily and Monarch Airlines’ seven weekly flights with further twice-daily flights offered each by easyJet from Luton and Ryanair from Stansted.  From Southend easyJet is up to 10 per week at the summer peak. There are flights also from most UK domestic airports to Europe's largest cruise port. www.ba.com
