Delta upgrades

With its latest JFK Terminal 4 lounge nearing completion Delta Air Lines says that it is adding new elements to the transcontinental services (which will use the facility) with more dining and entertainment options for travellers flying between New York-JFK and Los Angeles, and JFK and San Francisco, with Seattle following soon.

The upgraded entertainment and dining options include expanded movie and on-demand TV library, upgraded food for purchase, complimentary headsets for customers in Economy and Economy Comfort and free beer, wine, spirits and premium snacks in Economy Comfort starting this summer.

"We are always working to make the coast-to-coast travel experience more comfortable and productive for our customers", said Joanne Smith, Delta's Senior Vice President – In-Flight Service.  "In addition to product elements such as full flat-bed seats and in-flight wi-fi, sometimes it is the smaller, more personal touches that really make the flight experience an exceptional one".

During March the airline plans to introduce full flat-bed seats in the BusinessElite cabin of all transcontinental flights. www.delta.com
