LAN Airlines and TAM Airlines, the two leading airlines in South America, will share stand space under the LATAM Airlines Group umbrella at this week’s Business Travel Show. It is thought that this is the first time the airlines have jointly exhibited, certainly in Europe, since their amalgamation in June last year.
Both airlines will be primarily focusing on their business class products and European route network that offers travellers direct flights to São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro from London, and to Santiago, Lima and Quito from Madrid.
LATAM Airlines Group is the result of the merger between LAN Airlines and TAM Airlines. This has created one of the largest airline groups in the world in terms of network connections, providing passenger transport services to around 150 destinations in 22 countries and cargo services to about 169 destinations in 27 countries, with a fleet of 320 aircraft. Each airline continues to operate under its current brands and identities. www.lan.com www.tamairlines.com
