Delta to Europe

Atlanta is to be served three times daily from Heathrow (LHR) by Delta from the start of the summer season.  BA has a single flight.  Now easily the longest established US airline operating into London, the original Atlanta – Gatwick route was launched in 1978.  Delta also links Kennedy (JFK) three times daily from the main London airport and  serves Boston, Detroit and Minneapolis with single flights.

The LHR routes are all serviced by Boeing 767-400s with 39 flat-beds in BusinessElite, 28 seats for Economy Comfort and the balance 178 in Economy.  The airline’s home at Heathrow is Terminal 4, together with Skyteam, now considered by many the best passenger operation at the airport.

Manchester is daily for the season, part of an operation that moved 1.2m passengers through the UK last year.

This summer Delta will operate to 26 transatlantic destinations from JFK and 18 from Atlanta. www.delta.com
