Monarch flying programme

Based at Luton, and Swiss-owned, Monarch Airlines continues to expand as a mainly scheduled leisure airline.

New for summer 2013 is Birmingham to Split, Croatia’s second largest city, and also Bordeaux, a World Heritage City.  Split will complement Monarch’s existing Croatian route of Dubrovnik from Birmingham.  The new services will both operate three times a week from 22 May 2013.

Verona is already in the Monarch programme, from Manchester.  A three times per week Gatwick service is added from 13 May.

The carrier’s winter flying programme for 2013-14, adds frequencies to existing routes as well as launching new winter services from its new base, Leeds Bradford Airport, and from Luton.

An aircraft will be based at Leeds Bradford Airport for winter 2013-14 and routes to Arrecife, Faro, Larnaca and Tenerife, which start for the 2013 summer season will continue throughout the winter.  These are in addition to flights to the ski destinations of Grenoble and Munich which had their inaugural flights last week.

Luton to Sharm el Sheikh will operate three times a week starting on 7 November 2013.  Monarch currently serves Sharm el Sheikh from Birmingham, Gatwick and Manchester airports. www.monarch.co.uk
