The Great British Flying Test

Last year, in a unique coming together, British Airways, Heathrow, Manchester Airports Group and Virgin Atlantic formed the Aviation Foundation.

This authoritative group has now launched a new campaign with a website which is deliberately free of aviation company brands.

The aim, they say, is simple:

  • To highlight to communities and their politicians the importance of aviation across the UK – particularly where they live.
  • To reveal the significant numbers of jobs dependent on aviation and a film has been made in the town furthest away from a major international airport, showing how even here, a striking number of local people rely on aviation.

Called The Great British Flying Test initiative, it is expected that the film and website will be seen as an antidote to all those critics who seem to take aviation for granted.

The Foundation is hopeful that all those interested in the success of the British air transport industry will support the aims of the campaign.  Visit the website, watch and then share the film online to maximise audience figures. www.greatbritishflyingtest.co.uk
