The Irish-based hotel group Jurys Inn has confirmed that its ongoing major refurbishment programme will take it through to the end of 2014. The investment focuses primarily on refurbishments but also includes some IT and systems spend which will provide guests with improved comfort and facilities. Jurys Inn has 24 hotels in the UK, one in Northern Ireland, six in Ireland and one in Prague.
During 2011 all the guest rooms in Belfast, Croydon and Islington were completely renovated. In Croydon the work has also involved the public areas.
This year has seen guest room and public area refurbishment work undertaken in Birmingham, Chelsea, Galway and Newcastle. At Christchurch, Glasgow, Leeds and Milton Keynes the work has mainly concentrated on reception areas, bars and restaurants.
John Brennan, CEO, Jurys Inn, says: “We have recently invested significantly in developing our new brand identity, positioning and product offering and this investment programme will help bring some of our older hotels in line with our newest properties to ensure that all our facilities are consistently of a high standard and fully meet the needs and expectations of customers. Earlier this year Jurys Inn was awarded Best Independent Hotel Brand at The Business Travel Awards for the second time”. www.jurysinns.com
