Exeter Airport based Flybe has opened bookings for summer 2013 and also confirmed its joint venture with Finnair.
The London Stock Exchange listed airline says it has on offer up to 2,774 flights a week including three new routes. Barcelona is added from Southampton three times per week, whilst at Exeter twice weekly services are introduced to Barcelona and Nice.
Extended in the summer are six routes – Birmingham to Amsterdam and East Midlands to Amsterdam, Glasgow, Jersey, and Paris Charles de Gaulle, and Southampton to Nantes. At Gatwick it is adding daily flights to Inverness and has brought back the seasonal weekly flights to Bergerac.
From 28 October Flybe will begin flying 12 of Finnair’s Scandinavian routes with Embraer E190 regional jets. The aircraft will carry the livery of Finnair, but will operate under the Flybe Finland airline operating certificate and will be crewed by Flybe Finland staff.
Flybe Finland now flies up to 28 Embraer aircraft, double the number flown when the arrangement commenced in August 2011.
For the last quarter the company said that it performed in line with revised management expectations. It will announce interim results on 8 November. www.flybe.com
