Edinburgh budget hotel

Motel One, the Munich-based budget-design hotel chain, will open its first UK hotel in Edinburgh this December.
 
Motel One currently has a 39-property strong portfolio featuring hotels throughout Germany and Austria.  Over the next few years expansion plans include a second Edinburgh hotel set to open in autumn 2013 and a flagship London hotel, scheduled for a 2014 opening.
 
Speaking of the launch, Dieter Muller, CEO of Motel One Group, commented: “This is a very exciting time for Motel One, and the UK launch has been a long time in the making.  Our product is young and stylish and focuses on three qualities, namely excellent location, affordable prices and high quality design and service.  We think, with this product, we will also inspire our guests in the UK.  The Edinburgh launch is just the beginning!”
 
Motel One Edinburgh-Royal has prime position in Market Street, just by Waverley Station.  The building is a conversion of the original 16th and 18th century properties which once stood in its place and great care has gone into conserving as much of the historic walls as possible. www.motel-one.com
